Myrtle Beach

For the second part of our vacation, we flew down to Myrtle Beach for the annual Wiethe family vacation.  It was the first time that Dylan had met that side of the family, and he had a wonderful time!

His favorite activity was chilling in Grandma's and Grandpa's arms, whether at the condo...

...or at the beach.

He also got some hugs from all of his cousins -- he was happy to hang with Deckard, Greyton, Cassidy, Leela and Rilyn.

Aunt Angela kindly offered to spend lots of time with Dylan while Jason and I hung at the beach...and looks like she had lots of help!

Again Dylan got in some quality beach time, working on his tan with Chris and Leah.

Dylan also hit up some of his dad's favorite Myrtle Beach haunts, including Finn McCool's and El Burro Loco -- where he got his first taste of margarita :)

His cousin Rilyn gave him some awesome jingle socks, which were a great addition to his new favorite toy -- his feet!

His cousins and uncle Michael made a couple of awesome sand sculptures, and Dylan can't wait until he's old enough to help out!

It was such a fun vacation and we were sad to leave!  We miss everyone already!

Dylan had to find some distractions on the plane ride home to feel better :)

Sestri

We just got back from a wonderful vacation where Dylan got to meet and hang out with a lot of his family.  He had a great time!

We were first in Sestri Levante with Nonna, Mary, Matt and Alice.

It was Dylan's first time meeting his cousin Alice.  After a few wary glances while they got to know each other, it was constant hugs and kisses for the rest of the trip.

Alice is going to make an excellent big sister.  She got her feet wet by practicing on Dylan.  She showed him the finer points of tummy time...
 The proper way to eat...

And how to "cheers" at aperitivi...

Mary also got some practice with two little ones (which will come in handy in a few months!).  And Nonna put us to shame with how easy it was for her to juggle both Alice and Dylan.  She also kindly offered to watch the kiddos most nights so we could go out on the town.

Dylan also got in some quality beach time, soaking up the Mediterranean sunshine.  He sunbathed with his mom and dad, practiced standing, and gnawed on some delicious knuckles.

The three of us also took a day trip to Portofino.

We all had a fabulous time and miss Italy already...especially the magic cobblestones that were the surefire way to get Dylan to sleep!

Pictures from our trip to Myrtle Beach with all of the Wiethes will be coming soon!

Getting his feet wet

On our recent trips, Dylan had the opportunity to dip his feet in the Mediterranean....

...and in the Atlantic.

Funny thing is, he still hasn't been in the Pacific, which is right down the street from his house!  It's too cold!

I'll update soon with more about the trip!
