Jason's been home a lot more lately, which has been awesome for me and Dylan...but it has definitely stalled progress on this blog! A lot has happened since the last time I posted, but the most exciting thing was our trip to Cincinnati.
The three of us flew east at the beginning of May. After a couple of days in Cincy, Jason and I drove down to Louisville to meet up with some friends and go to the Kentucky Derby, and then we returned two nights later. So Dylan got to have some quality alone time with Grandma, Grandpa, his Aunt Angela and cousins Rilyn and Leela! And he had a blast! Any nervousness that I had about leaving him was thrown out the window when I received pictures of him playing ball with his cousins and the neighbors, chilling in Grandma's arms or smiling from the box fort that Grandpa had made for him.
When we got back from the Derby (which was a really fun -- albeit rainy -- experience), we continued the fun. We took the Cozy Coupe (a little car which has been used by every Wiethe grandkid) for many rides, chased the neighborhood cat, rang wind chimes with Grandpa, visited the new Cincy casino, played with Rosie, Cassidy, Chris and Leah, and destroyed (uh, I mean, played with) all of the toys in the house.
We all had a wonderful time!
