Thanksgiving
I thought I should get up some pictures of Thanksgiving before Christmas gets here!
We had a wonderful time in Denver with Mary, Matt and Alice. Dylan got in lots of kisses from his cousin Alice :)
After Thanksgiving, we checked out a cool new German bar in the neighborhood. Dylan had fun...look at him eyeing that beer :)
On the morning that we left, we hit up the park one last time. And we tested out the snowsuit that Alice lent to Dylan...which will come in handy when we go to Cincinnati over Christmas!

We did a lot of cooking, playing at the park, banging on instruments and reading books. We also went to the Denver Children's Museum, which has a wonderful play area from crawlers, which Dylan loved. It had little bridges, tunnels, slides, trees -- perfect for our crazy crawler (and his crazy cousin)!

Busy month!
We've had a busy October/November...I really can't believe that it's almost the holidays! We've been having a lot of fun and Dylan has changed so much just in the last few weeks. Here's a recap of the last month or so...
At the end of October, Nonna, Mary, Matt and Alice came into town for Dylan's baptism (Dylan is lucky enough to have Matt and Mary as his wonderful godparents). We had a great weekend -- we had a pizza party, went to the park and made a big southern breakfast. The baptism ceremony was really nice and we had a little cake party afterwards at the house with Chrissy and Marian. And Nonna's flight home was delayed for a few days because of Hurricane Sandy, so Dylan got to spend a couple days with her instead of going to daycare -- which was very lucky for us!
And a couple days after that, he was off! He now makes a beeline for anything off-limits every time he's on the ground. He especially loves electrical wires, the tv, the phone, drawers, shoes...the list gets longer every day. But he seems very pleased with himself for being so mobile :) And I think that walking is next!
About the same time he started crawling, he also started pulling himself up on things. The second that we put him in the crib, he flips over, reaches for the bars and stands up. Unfortunately, this makes it much harder for him to fall asleep! He'll pull himself up on anything (tables, in the pack 'n' play, on an activity table at daycare), but doesn't quite grasp the concept yet that some things will fall down with him when he puts his weight on them. So there have been a few bonks. D'oh!
Dylan's also been experimenting with a lot of different foods lately. He seems to like most of it, and it's been really fun (and messy!). It's been nice to include him at meals, especially when we meet people out for brunch (the only meal for which we seem to be able to make it out of the house!).
As you can see, Dylan's had a very eventful few weeks! He was also sick for the first time, which was a bummer, but he was a trooper and is now much better. I'll leave you with this picture of him on the swing at the park. You might recall that I posted a picture on the same swing a while ago and he looked a bit skeptical. Now he LOVES it!

Over that weekend, Dylan was this close to crawling. He would get up on his hands and knees, kind of rock back and forth, and then fall on his tummy. A couple days later, it progressed into what could technically be called crawling, but he was still a little hesitant.

Also around this same time, he got his first teeth (big couple of weeks for Dylan!)! Two cute little toofies popped through on the bottom.

The Office
The "Office" is a gift from Nonna that has been a lifesaver. Dylan loves playing in it, and it gives me and Jason a whole 10-20 minutes of free time. Win-win! Here he is playing in it over the last few months...
