Dylan's 6th Birthday!

Dylan is 6 years old!! He's been waiting and preparing all year for the big day, and I think he had a great time. On Thursday, I went to his classroom for their little celebration, which included an Appreciation Circle - where Dylan called on his classmates and they said nice things about him ("I like how hard you work and never give up," "I like that you're my friend," "I like how you play with me"), then I read a book that we brought from home. It was very sweet. And then we had a party at home on the big day. The Jacobs, Bindernagels, Amelia, and Liam from his class came. Can't believe he's 6!!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter at the Jacobs'. We woke up on Easter morning in Monterey - the Easter Bunny found us there - and drove up to San Jose to spend the day with the Jacobs and Bindernagels.

Monterey

We took a weekend trip to Monterey over Spring Break this year. I had visions of spending an entire day wandering though the aquarium, having a couple good meals, lounging by the pool while Ben napped...but then I remembered that we brought the kids with us. I wouldn't say it was a relaxing vacation, but as my sister said "We made memories."
