10 months old!

Can you believe that Dylan's already 10 months old??  And to celebrate this milestone, he decided to take a few first steps!

Dylan is into everything these days.  He is a man on the move.  Curious about everything. Leaves a path of destruction in his wake.  And he's had several opportunities recently to get his hands dirty (both literally and figuratively).

He has several favorite areas of our house that he enjoys exploring.  I'd say that his favorite places/things in our house are (in order of importance): the inside of the refrigerator, the bathroom, the inside of the dishwasher, the inside of any cabinet or drawer, the garden, any form of electronics, the window blinds, and finally...in one of our laps.

We've also gone to some fun new places so that Dylan can expend some energy.  We've tried a couple of the local play gyms, where he's met some new friends and tried some new things.  We've also been back to the park several times.  And I've finally gotten into the habit of bringing his little shoes with us -- countless pairs of socks were getting filthy because I kept forgetting them.

And finally, we recently took a quick trip to Denver to meet Dylan's newest cousin, Joanna! He had a great time hanging out with Alice (who was extremely tolerant of his affectionate face pats), and meeting his newest cousin.  Snuggling up with little Joanna reminded me of how big Dylan is getting -- I can't believe that he was that small not long ago!  We had a wonderful time :)

As you can see, Dylan's been very busy having fun!
