At the end of October, Nonna, Mary, Matt and Alice came into town for Dylan's baptism (Dylan is lucky enough to have Matt and Mary as his wonderful godparents). We had a great weekend -- we had a pizza party, went to the park and made a big southern breakfast. The baptism ceremony was really nice and we had a little cake party afterwards at the house with Chrissy and Marian. And Nonna's flight home was delayed for a few days because of Hurricane Sandy, so Dylan got to spend a couple days with her instead of going to daycare -- which was very lucky for us!
Over that weekend, Dylan was this close to crawling. He would get up on his hands and knees, kind of rock back and forth, and then fall on his tummy. A couple days later, it progressed into what could technically be called crawling, but he was still a little hesitant.
About the same time he started crawling, he also started pulling himself up on things. The second that we put him in the crib, he flips over, reaches for the bars and stands up. Unfortunately, this makes it much harder for him to fall asleep! He'll pull himself up on anything (tables, in the pack 'n' play, on an activity table at daycare), but doesn't quite grasp the concept yet that some things will fall down with him when he puts his weight on them. So there have been a few bonks. D'oh!
Also around this same time, he got his first teeth (big couple of weeks for Dylan!)! Two cute little toofies popped through on the bottom.
