Separation Anxiety

On Sunday night, Dylan started sleeping at night in his crib in his own room (and not in a bassinet right beside our bed).  Dylan seems to be taking it in stride...I am not.

Besides the couple (okay, several) times that he wakes up because he is hungry, he seems perfectly content chilling in his crib.  I happen to know this because I spend most nights obsessively checking him on the video monitor.  This is my view...

A couple times, when he wasn't squirming or grunting, I went into his room with a flashlight to make sure he was still breathing.  That's not weird, right? ;)

On the first night, the battery on the monitor ran out by about 1am.  But this gave me an excuse to go into Dylan's room to retrieve the power cord!

Guess our boy's growing up!

Clarification:  I wouldn't want to give you the idea that Dylan sleeps through the night now that he's in his own room.  That would be silly!  He still makes himself known every few hours -- just not much different from when he was in the bassinet right next to us.
