On 11/6, Lina had surgery to remove the birthmark (congenital nevus if you want to get technical) on her forehead. It was an early morning at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, but everything went well and we were home by about 10:30am. She was such a trooper and was immediately back to her happy self! The surgeon used purple glue on the scar, which is slowly peeling off. We kept a bandage over it for the first couple weeks, so that she wouldn't bonk it against anything (she is super mobile!). And now we're using a special tape on it for the next three months. As you can see, she's doing great!
